Haryana CM Nayab Saini discusses investments with chief of Singapore India Business Forum
Chandigarh: Prasoon Mukherjee, the president of the Singapore India Business Forum, on Friday met Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini and discussed industrial investment in the state, trade cooperation, and opportunities available for Singaporean companies.The CM invited the Singapore India Business Forum and investors from Singapore to explore investment opportunities in Haryana. Saini said the Haryana govt was continuously making efforts to promote industries in the state and provide a conducive environment for the investors.
The govt is encouraging investments through transparent policies, simplified procedures, and improved infrastructure, said Saini.He further stated that the state govt was committed to extending full support to investors. Investors coming to Haryana will not face any difficulties and their interests will be fully protected, the CM added.Saini said the expansion of industries in the state would create new employment opportunities and further accelerate Haryana's economic growth. During the meeting, discussions were also held on a proposal to establish a business centre of the Singapore India Business Forum in Gurugram.The CM said setting up a business centre in Gurugram would provide Singaporean companies with a strong platform to establish offices and invest in Haryana, which would further strengthen trade relations between the two sides.Mukherjee invited CM Saini to visit Singapore. He said investors associated with the Singapore India Business Forum, in collaboration with the Singapore govt, were highly enthusiastic about exploring investment opportunities in Haryana, and there were wide prospects for cooperation in various sectors in the future.Souvenir Released (Box)Haryana governor Ashim Kumar Ghosh and chief minister Nayab Singh Saini jointly released a souvenir of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav to be held in the Sirsa Parliamentary Constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala said the Sansad Khel Mahotsav was being organised continuously in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment towards sports and his vision of providing a larger platform to emerging players. The previous edition of the Sansad Khel Mahotsav was held from Sept 21 to 25, 2025.Push for medicinal plants (Box)CM Nayab Singh Saini on Friday said officers should encourage farmers in the state to cultivate medicinal and aromatic plants so that they could earn higher income even from limited agricultural land. He also directed officials to create awareness among farmers about conserving water by promoting micro-irrigation. The CM was speaking while releasing the ‘Report of Working Group on Promotion of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants in Haryana' and the ‘Report of Working Group on Promotion of Micro Irrigation in Haryana' of the Haryana Kisan Kalyan Pradhikaran.CM congratulates successful candidates (Box)CM Nayab Singh Saini on Friday extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all candidates who succeeded in the civil services examination, the results of which were declared by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday. Speaking during the budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, he said the civil services examination was considered one of the toughest and most prestigious examinations in the country.
