Bhubaneswar: State govt on Saturday said disciplinary and administrative actions will be taken if employees, officials, contractual staff, visitors or any other person was found recording social media reels or taking videos or photos on the premises of Lok Seva Bhawan, Rajiv Bhawan and Kharavel Bhawan here.
A home department order said the three buildings are are high-security zones and sensitive govt establishments. The creation of such content on the premises not only affects the decorum, discipline, and integrity of the office environment but also has the potential to adversely impact the image and dignity of govt, the order read.

"In view of the above, all employees, officials, contractual staff, visitors, and any other persons are hereby strictly refrained from creating, recording, or uploading any kind of social media reels, videos, or photographs for personal or public sharing from the above premises. Any violation of this order shall be viewed seriously and may attract appropriate disciplinary and administrative action as per the applicable rules," the order added.
On Friday, law minister Prithiviraj Harichandan said the govt will soon come up with a standard operating procedure (SOP) to regulate such activities. "Recording reels at Lok Seva Bhawan is completely unacceptable. This is not a place of entertainment. It is a high-security zone and the seat of governance. Its decorum must be maintained," he had said.
