Bhopal: A 35-year-old biker died after a speeding unknown vehicle hit his bike near Baanh river in Berasia.
Investigating Officer Sahab Singh said that Gyan Singh Jatav was a farmer. On Wednesday around 9.45 pm, he along with his 22-year-old nephew Dinesh was returning home via Baanh river on Narsinghpur road, when a speeding unidentified vehicle knocked them down and escaped leaving them injured on the spot. Locals called an ambulance and they were rushed to a hospital, where Gyan Singh was declared brought dead while his nephew was undergoing treatment. On getting information a case on charges of causing death by negligence was registered against the unidentified vehicle driver and further investigations are underway to nab him.
Meanwhile, an elderly man died after a speeding car hit him near Koh-e-Fiza hospital on Wednesday night. His identity could not be ascertained. Cops said he was crossing the road, when the accident took place. A case was registered at Koh-e-Fiza police station and further investigations are on.
