: A 14-year-old girl committed suicide - barely 10 minutes after she had a fight with her siblings over which channel to watch on the television in Bilkhira.

Police suspect, the argument might have been a trigger for the suicide.
Investigation officer HC Sudeept Rajput said the girl, Madhu Thakur is a student of Class 10. She was at her home with her sister Payal, 12 and brother Anurag, 10. Their parents were out for work.
The children were watching television when an argument broke out among them. Allegedly, upset over not being able to watch the channel of her choice, she hanged herself from the roof girder of her room using a loop made out of her dupatta.
After around 10 minutes, when Payal entered Madhu’s room, she was taken aback to see Madhu hanging from the roof. As she shouted in shock, neighbours ran into the house. They immediately informed their parents. Madhu was rushed to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival, Said Rajput.
To add to the trouble, the hospital management sent the body to Hamidia hospital mortuary without informing the Bilkhiria police. Madhu’s kin had to struggle to get the autopsy procedure completed.
A case has been registered and investigations are on, said police.
