9 held in ‘gambling den raid’

In a raid at a gambling den allegedly operating from an under-construction house in Imalia village, nine persons were arrested on Tuesday night.Police said the raid was conducted after receiving a tip-off about gambling activities at a house located behind a dance club in the village. After confirming the information, a police team surrounded the premises and apprehended the accused.Police seized cash worth Rs 2.31 lakh, 10 mobile phones and two motorcycles, collectively valued at around Rs 7.71 lakh.
