The woman told police that she uploaded her profile on shaadi.com website and received a proposal from

After September, the woman could not reach Farhat as he had changed his contact number. She managed to trace Farhat’s residential address in RT Nagar and went there to meet him. But to the woman’s shock, it turned out that he was already married. She realized that she had been cheated by him and hence, approached Marathahalli police on Wednesday.
“We have registered a case under the provision of IPC sections 493 (cohabitation caused by a man deceitfully inducing a belief of lawful marriage), 417 (punishment for cheating) and 420 (cheating) against the accused person. We will transfer the case to
