Jilted lover stabs two sisters in Kolar

KOLAR: A dejected lover stabbed his girlfriend and her sister in their house in Gandhinagar here and then tried to commit suicide on Wednesday morning. All three have been hospitalized with multiple injuries and are out of danger.
Narasimha, 27, a resident of Sonnenahalli in Srinivasapur taluk of Kolar district, fell in love with his classmate Ramya (name changed) when they were students of private nursing college in Kolar Gold Fields.They were in constant touch for four years till a year ago when she got a job at a private nursing home in Bangalore. Narasimha, who works in a private nursing home in Chennai, tried to contact her many times and even went to her workplace but she avoided him.
Last month, Narasimha reportedly proposed to her but she turned him down and told him to forget her. Last week, Ramya reportedly went to Narasimha's home town and met his parents and told them to advise their son not to bother her.
On Wednesday morning, Narasimha went to Ramya's house and began discussing his proposal. When Ramya told him firmly she wouldn't marry him, he took out a chopper from his bag and to tried to attack her. He allegedly told Ramya he would murder her and then commit suicide. Ramya's sister Sandhya tried to intervene but she too sustained injuries.
When Narasimha saw both of them bleeding, he rushed to the terrace of the single-storey building and tried to commit suicide by grabbing the power lines. He fell from the terrace and sustained serious head injuries. All three were shifted to Jalappa Hospital where they are recovering. Narasimha may be moved to Nimhans for treatment.
B Naveen, sub-inspector of Gulpet, told TOI since Ramya was not in a position to speak, police recorded the statement of her sister and registered a case against Narasimha.
