1/7

Karnataka stretch now operational

Motorists can already use the 71.7-km stretch from Bengaluru to Bethamangala. This marks the expressway’s first phase of operations, making Karnataka the frontrunner in the project’s progress.

2/7

Andhra Pradesh progress

29 km between Bangarupalem and Gudipala is ready, while the Byreddypalli-Bangarupalem will be the last to get completed, extending the completion timeline to June 2026.

3/7

Tamil Nadu challenges

Construction of 24 km connecting Gudipala to Walajahpet is on track, but the remaining 57.2 km up to Sriperumbudur faces delays due to rock-cutting and land acquisition issues.

4/7

Final stretch completion timeline

The most difficult portion lies in Andhra Pradesh, where a 10-km segment cuts through the eco-sensitive Koudinya Wildlife Sanctuary. Work here is expected to finish only by June 2026, making it the last link in the expressway.

5/7

Designed for speed and efficiency

Built to handle speeds of up to 120 kmph, the expressway will dramatically reduce the travel distance and time between Bengaluru and Chennai, providing faster, safer, and smoother journeys for both commuters and freight movement.

6/7

Future travel convenience

When the Rs 15,188-crore project is fully operational, it will offer world-class connectivity, ease pressure on existing highways, and transform trade, tourism, and economic activity between Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.

7/7

Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway takes shape

The 263.4-km Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway is one of India’s most ambitious infrastructure projects. Once complete, it will create a seamless high-speed corridor between two of South India’s busiest metros, reducing travel time and boosting regional development.

This Must Much Anticipated Highway is going to be the Jewel of Northern TN and Karnataka, AP. AP's Highways from (Hyderabad to) Ananthapur to Chittoor that ALREADY Exist can be connected to this so easily and economically, instead of the current Messy Madanapalle-Bangalore road. Besides, it will EASE the Horrendous Traffic on Tirupati-Tiruttani-Chennai highway by Providing such an amazing Second highway. Superb Thinking !!!
