Illegal pathlab sealed in Pilibhit; owner booked

Pilibhit: Health authorities and local administration sealed an illegal pathlab that has been running without a qualified pathologist near Tazia Ground in Barkhera town.Acting on orders from the sub-divisional magistrate and the medical flying squad, a team led by Dr Lokesh Kumar, in-charge of Barkhera CHC, and the Nayab Tehsildar raided “Isba Pathology” on May 27. The lab owner, Mohammad Irfan of Bareilly, failed to produce valid registration documents during the inspection.Following a formal complaint, Barkhera police registered a case against Irfan on June 1 under Section 15(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, according to SHO Satyendra Kumar.
