Pilibhit: Health authorities and local administration sealed an illegal pathlab that has been running without a qualified pathologist near Tazia Ground in Barkhera town.
Acting on orders from the sub-divisional magistrate and the medical flying squad, a team led by Dr Lokesh Kumar, in-charge of Barkhera CHC, and the Nayab Tehsildar raided “Isba Pathology” on May 27. The lab owner, Mohammad Irfan of Bareilly, failed to produce valid registration documents during the inspection.
Following a formal complaint, Barkhera police registered a case against Irfan on June 1 under Section 15(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, according to SHO Satyendra Kumar.
