Farmer, 35, dies in bike-dumper collision

PILIBHIT: A 35-year old farmer died on Monday morning when his motorbike was hit by a by speeding dumper coming from the opposite side when he reached village Jasoli Diwali on the Bhind-Lipulekh NH 731 highway. Naresh Pal Singh of village Gazipur Mughal in Pilibhit, was on his way to village Anonia of district Bareilly to drop his brother-in-law's two minor daughters. He died on the spot while the two minor sisters -- Srashti (15) and Pranjali (17) -- sustained serious head injuries. The sub-divisional magistrate of Bisalpur Circle, Sandeep Yadav said, “The accident occurred before me. The driver of the coal-laden dumper fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind. The arms of the front rider had been severely crushed under the dumper wheel while the condition of the two survivors was extremely serious.”SHO Ashok Pal said that the body was sent for autopsy and an FIR lodged against the anonymous driver.
