TIRUPATI:
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) condemned a demeaning campaign on a Youtube channel against the decision of the temple body to facilitate Srivari darshan for people belonging to SC/ST/BC and fishermen communities from the backward regions of the state.
TTD clarified that the trust board had recently resolved to facilitate Srivari darshan for people from the backward regions of the state with a noble intention to propagate the Hindu Sanathana Dharma and to end forcible religious conversions in the state.
Accordingly, TTD facilitated darshan for the people from the backward regions of the state during the recently concluded annual Brahmotsavams and also decided to extend the darshan facility to the backward communities again during the ensuing Vaikunta Ekadasi and Dwadasi festivals on January 13-22.
TTD also rubbished another charge leveled by the Youtube channel that the Hindu temple body was financially supporting Christian pastors and was also providing funds for Jerusalem and Haj yatras, as absolutely baseless.
TTD also condemned the accusation by the Youtube channel that the temple body stopped extending food offerings to Lord Venkateswara during the lockdown.
The biggest Hindu temples body in the world appealed to the devotees not to believe in the smear campaign run against it in the social media and other platforms and warned those responsible for the demeaning campaign of stringent legal action.
