TIRUPATI: Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was on Wednesday formally extended invitation to take part in the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams.
The invitation was exted by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Chairman YV Subba Reddy along with executive officer AV Dharma Reddy and Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy.
Brahmotsavams is slated to get underway at the sacred abode of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala from September 27.
As per the customary practice, chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will present Pattu vastrams on behalf of the state government of Andhra Pradesh to Lord Venkateswara on the annual Brahmotsavams festival eve on September 27th.
The 9-day annual festival at Tirumala will begin with the celestial Dwajarohanam ritual on the 27th of September.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will take part in a colourful procession from the Bedi Anjaneya Swamy temple to the Tirumala temple and will present pattu vastrams to Lord Venkateswara inside the hill temple on the first day of the 9-day annual festival.
The chief minister will also take part in the Pedda Sesha vahanam procession for a brief while on September 27th evening and will halt for the night at Sri Padmavathi guest house at Tirumala.
On September 28th, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will inaugurate TTD's new Parakamani complex built at a cost of Rs.23 crores near the Tirumala temple.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams and the district police wing have made elaborate arrangements for the 9-day annual Brahmotsavams and for the two-day visit of the Andhra Pradesh Chief minister.
