TIRUPATI: The Anantapur police in Andhra Pradesh arrested 11 individuals in connection with a sensational murder case.
SP Anburajan said that the accused attempted to conceal the murder in a cinematic style. The victim, Mohammed Ali, had been missing since November 27, prompting his father, Papasaheb Ibrahim, to file a complaint on December 1.
Initially treating it as a missing person case, Anantapur police eventually unraveled a complex murder plot.
Ali and Shaik Mohammed Rafi, former friends and business partners, turned adversaries amid business losses.
Rafi orchestrated Ali's murder, hiring a supari gang to carry out the crime.
After brutally assaulting Ali in a furniture godown, the gang left, and Rafi, with accomplices, set the body ablaze.
Anantapur police, through dedicated efforts, exposed the plot, leading to the arrest of all 11 accused, including members of the supari gang.
The arrested individuals are identified as Shaik Mohammed Rafi, Shaik Karishma, Shaik Ghousiya, Shaik Siddique Ali, Gajjala Sivakumar, Gajjala Chandrasekhar, Gajjala Hari, Gajjala Krishna, Mangala Ramu, Shaheena, and Karanam Phani.
