TIRUPATI: Kanchi mutt Sankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati visited the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's Saptha Gau Pradakshinashala at Alipiri near
Tirupati on Saturday and appreciated the temple body's efforts in promoting cow worship in a big way.
The Saptha Gau Pradakshinashala built at a cost of Rs.15 crore and donated by Chennai local advisory committee President AJ Sekhar Reddy to the TTD was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh chief minister
YS Jaganmohan Reddy during the annual Brahmotsavams eve on October 11.
Speaking to reporters in Tirupati, the Kanchi mutt pontiff underlined that worshipping the sacred cow which was an embodiment of the three crore Hindu deities has been an integral part of the Sanathana Hindu Dharma which must be upheld at all times.
"The location of the Saptha Gau Pradakshinashala at Alipiri which is at the foot of the seven hills is very ideal for all devotees to start their pilgrimage to Tirumala on an auspicious note after offering a worship to the sacred cow here", added the Kanchi mutt pontiff.
