TGT exam conducted across state, 9 dummy candidates held
Prayagraj: The written exam for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) was organised by the authorities of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission across the state on Wednesday. The first shift was conducted at 514 examination centres across the state for four subjects including Social Science, Physical Education, Science, and Urdu.
Similarly, exam was conducted in second shift at 508 examination centres across the state for four subjects—Hindi, Mathematics, Agriculture and Music Vocal. Officials said that the written examination for a total of eight subjects was successfully conducted in 36 districts of the state.
During the examination, close monitoring of all exam centres was carried out from the AI Integrated Control Command Room set up at the Commission
In the first shift, two each impersonating candidates were caught in Lucknow, Bareilly and Chitrakoot and one each in Jaunpur and Mirzapur.
In the second shift, two dummy candidates were caught in Lucknow and one in HathrasOut of these, a total of nine fake candidates were immediately arrested by the local police, while two fled from the examination centres. Further legal action is being taken against all of them.
A total of 2,21,489 candidates appeared in the written examination held on Wednesday out of which the percentage of female candidates was 45.41% and the percentage of male candidates was 52.42%.
