Saryu Express incident: SP wing stages protest

Prayagraj: A group of Samajwadi Party (women wing) workers on Monday staged a protest at Subhash crossing against the state government over the recent assault on a lady police constable onboard Saryu Express Train.The activists exchanged heated arguments with women police personnel and claimed that atrocities on women were rising and no one was safe in BJP rule. Many activists were detained. The woman head constable was found in an unconscious state with deep cut on face and head injury inside Saryu express at Ayodhya junction railway station on August 30.
