Prayagraj: On the second day of the written examination for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) conducted by the
Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission — a total of 2,12,975 candidates appeared in the examination held on Thursday across the state in a peaceful, transparent, malpractice-free, and well-organized environment.
Dr Prashant Kumar, Chairman (UPESSC) said examinations for English, Home Science, Biology, and Instrumental Music were conducted at 504 centers across the state in first shift, exams for Sanskrit, Commerce, and Arts were held at 471 centers in second shift.
During this intensive monitoring and verification process, a fraudulent candidate was apprehended in the Varanasi district while attempting to take the examination in place of another applicant.
In two days, a total of 4,34,464 candidates participated in the examination, representing 50.02 percent of the total registered candidates. On Thursday, the attendance rate recorded was 49.16 percent for female candidates and 52.17 percent for male candidates.
