Congress party paid tributes to veteran freedom fighter Feroze Gandhi on his 51st death anniversary on Thursday. Party workers assembled at the Parsi cemetery in Mumfordgunj on Thursday morning and offered floral tributes at Gandhi's grave.
Recalling Feroze's contribution, PCC member Shyam Krishna Pandey said he took an active part in the Quit India movement and was sent to jail on several occasions.
City Congress general secretary, Rajkumar Singh said Feroze also remained active in the post-independence period and contributed in nation building. His straight forward approach on public issues in Parliament was appreciated by all, Singh said.
PCC member Mukund Tiwari said Feroze's contribution in the freedom struggle is unforgettable and added that we can fight against corruption by following his footsteps.
