Bharadwaj Park to be made centre of spiritual information

Prayagraj: At a time when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced redevelopment of Bhardwaj Ashram before Mahakumbh 2025, the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation has decided to revamp the adjacent Bhardwaj Park and develop it into a centre of spiritual information.“The plan is to build a Vedic gallery on the walls of the park. The park will be made a centre of spiritual information where visitors will get all information about Vedas. Also, a statue of Maharishi Valmiki, the author of Ramayana, will be installed,” said officials of the civic body. The PMC had earlier renovated the park during 2019 Kumbh. Earlier in 2018, a statue of Maharishi Bharadwaj was installed outside the park along with a water fountain inside the park.For Mahakumbh 2025, Mela adhikari Vijay Kiran Anand has instructed authorities to beautify and make a corridor between the temple and park.Sources said the issue will be taken up during the first meeting of the municipal executive scheduled on July 5. Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani said: “We plan to make the city spiritually more beautiful for which Dashashwamedh ghat will be renovated and there is a plan of installing a huge statue of the creator of the universe, Brahma, along with a yagyashala on the ghat.” He also revealed the plans on saving Ganga from pollution by enhancing greenery along the river.
