Supporters rally behind Cong neta Akhtar in Ajmer
Ajmer: Ajmer witnessed a show of support for Naseem Akhtar, a local Congress leader and Sachin Pilot's loyalist, as Congress leaders and supporters openly rallied behind her cause. They organized a march towards the collectorate, where they submitted a memorandum to the district collector, addressed to the chief minister.Recently, Vijay Singh Chauhan, a BDO of Ajmer rural, filed an FIR against Naseem Akhtar, her husband, and around 15 to 20 supporters. The charges included obstruction of government work and misbehavior. Notably, Mahendra Singh Ralawata, who lost the Ajmer North seat for the Congress, and Hemant Bhati, who lost the Ajmer South seat, joined Naseem Akhtar's march. Both Ralawata and Bhati were instrumental in organizing and managing Sachin Pilot's Sangharsh Yatra in Ajmer. The Congress leaders assembled at Vijay Laxmi Park before proceeding to the district collectorate to present their memorandum. The memorandum demanded an investigation against BDO Vijay Singh Chauhan. The police had heightened security measures along the route, diverting traffic on these roads. Many local Congress leaders lent their support to Naseem's cause.Prior to the march, all the leaders addressed the media, accusing Dharmendra Rathore of making false promises to local leaders in exchange for nominated seats in various authorities. Insaaf Akhtar, a Congress leader, claimed that there was a political conspiracy against Naseem Akhtar, asserting that the state Congress head held the authority to nominate posts at different levels. He emphasized that Naseem had lodged several complaints against BDO Chauhan. Insaaf also mentioned that Hemant Bhati and Mahendra Singh Ralawata were fortifying the Congress base in Ajmer, but there existed a conspiracy to weaken the party in the region.Insaaf further highlighted Naseem's efforts to strengthen the Congress, including her participation in Rahul Gandhi's padyatra and her position as a state vice president.
