Ahmedabad: Anupam Bridge closure at night for bullet train work
Ahmedabad: The Anupam Bridge in the eastern part of the city will stay temporarily shut from midnight to 6am on Friday and again on June 10, 13 and 14 for work on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project.
National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited said the closure will be a temporary night-time restriction as authorities conduct steel bridge launching operations.
Officials said prior approval has been obtained from the office of the joint commissioner of police (traffic), Ahmedabad city. During the closure, agencies will ensure proper barricading, adequate lighting, traffic indicator signage and route diversion boards to maintain safety and minimise inconvenience.
Diversions will route two-wheelers and medium and heavy vehicles via Kankaria Circle, Madrasi Mandir, Zagdhiya Bridge and adjoining connecting roads towards Khokhara, Hatkeshwar and CTM.
Traffic marshals will be deployed at key junctions for coordination, regulation and public guidance across the affected corridors.
