Dassault Systemes to expand Pune facilities, targets 9000-headcount by 2030
Pune: The French software firm Dassault Systemes has announced that they will expand their Hinjawadi premises with the addition of a third building, titled Earth, expected to be complete in three years, with the company also announcing plans to nearly triple its headcount to around 9000 by 2030.
The company, in a statement, says that its Hinjawadi facility is home to around 3500 employees currently, across capabilities. The foundation stone to the new building was laid by Dassault Systemes’ vice-chairman and CEO, Bernard Charles.
Dassault’s Hinjawadi premises is home to one of the company’s globally key research and development facilities, named the Dassault Systemes Solution Labs, which is one of the drivers of innovation in the firm, and also has service capabilities that works with the company’s clients on its flagship 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The company has also started a R&D facility at the campus to help innovate on products in the life sciences and healthcare segments.
“India has always been an important centre for Dassault Systemes to empower those with new perspectives on innovation. After Paris, Pune, India is the second largest campus of Dassault Systemes and has been a significant contributor to the company’s global research and development, industry services and other functions. With this expansion, we aim to reinforce and strengthen our R&D and services activities in India,” said Sudarshan Mogasale, CEO of Dassault Systemes Solution Lab.
