Bank of India launches savings account for women with independent income
Mumbai: Bank of India has launched Nari Shakti Savings Account designed for women aged 18 and above with an independent source of income.
The NSSA includes a Personal Accident Insurance cover of up to Rs. 100 lakhs. Account holders can also avail discounted Health Insurance & Wellness products and enjoy rebates on locker facilities for Gold & Diamond savings accounts. Platinum account holders receive free facilities.
Additionally, the account offers a concessional rate of interest on Retail Loans, a waiver of processing charges on Retail Loans, free issuance of Credit Cards, and a higher usage limit of up to Rs. 5.00 lakh on POS transactions.
For each new Nari Shakti Account opened, the bank will contribute Rs. 10/- towards the CSR fund. This fund is earmarked for the socio-economic development of underprivileged women and the girl child.
The Nari Shakti Savings Account is accessible through all 5132 domestic branches and digital platforms, providing convenience to prospective account holders. This initiative underscores Bank of India's commitment to empowering women economically and contributing to the social development of marginalized women and girls.
