NEW DELHI: A subsidiary of Hyundai and South-Korea's second largest automobile manufacturer,
Kia Motors
on Thursday, unveiled a new SUV called Seltos in India. The SUV will be Kia's first product in India.
The car is expected to launch at a price range of Rs 10-16 lakh (ex-showroom), in the second half of 2019. Kia Seltos will rival the likes of Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta and the MG Hector.
According to the company, Kia Seltos will be BS-VI ready with petrol, turbo petrol and a
diesel engine
options. It will get a 6-speed
manual transmission
.

connected car
tech - UVO which has several features like vehicle management, navigation etc, he adds.
The Kia Seltos will get Normal, Eco and Sports driving modes. On the inside, it gets an eco-coating for a cleaner cabin.
The Kia Seltos is based on the SP2i concept shown at the 2018 Auto Expo. According to the company, the name ‘Seltos’ is inspired by Greek mythology and the legend of ‘Celtos’, the son of Hercules whereas the ‘S’ in the car’s adapted name implies speed, sportiness and strength.
