Big Boss rides again: Plans are afoot to set up a Museum of Ancient Indian Antiquities 😜

Big Boss: Well, Aidebhai, we did it! We won again, and big time too, despite what all those poll pundits had earlier said that it was going to be a close call. That had me worried for a while.

Aide-in-Chief: It had me worried too. But then, apart from the allegedly rigged EVMs, we got help, from the most unexpected quarter, and that’s what assured us of victory.

BB: Very true. We’d never have won if it hadn’t been for the help we received, from both the Mahagathbandhan and from that maha-dynasty bandha. But tell me one thing, Aidebhai – why were they called the Opposition, when far from opposing us they actually helped us win?

A-in-C: I think they were called the Opposition – and they still call themselves that – because they opposed not us but each other.

BB: You’re very right, as usual. They were so busy opposing themselves that they didn’t have much time or energy to oppose us.  So don’t you think we should reward them in some way for all the unwitting help they gave us in achieving our victory?

A-in-C: I think rewarding them in some way for their help is an excellent idea.

BB: Now that we’re back with a bang and they’re more or less out of job, so to speak, how about we give them a retirement pension so that they don’t have to worry about how they’re going to earn a livelihood?

A-in-C: A retirement pension’s not a bad notion. We could call it the Obsolete Opposition Yojana. But I’ve got an even better idea.

BB: Really? And what’s that?

A-in-C: What we could do is build a special Museum of Ancient Indian Antiquities and house them all in that so that future generations of historians know what the Opposition was.

BB: What a great idea. A Museum of Ancient Antiquities is the perfect place for that lot now that I’m back as PM, or Permanent Mantriji …
