Bigg Boss 8: Eviction Episode Highlights

This season of Bigg Boss is getting hotter and spicier with each passing day. There seems to be a clear rift between contestants and their constant tu-tu-main-main has kept things interesting. The 2nd 'Weekend Ka War' episode of Bigg Boss 8 started with a bang on performance by Salman Khan on the 'Baanjara' song. Seeking inspiration from his friend Aamir's Dhoom 3 tap dance, Salman indulged in some too. However, the weekend episodes were a bag of surprises and unlike the usual trend, the eviction too place on Sunday instead of Saturday. Nominated contestant Praneet Bhatt was declared safe from the week's eviction quite early on in the episode but Gautam Gulati and Sukirti Kandpal were kept in the danger zone till the end, maintaining the suspense for the viewers.

Jalwa performance: After a heated session with Salman Khan on Saturday, Bigg Boss inmates decided to please Salman on Sunday. All the inmates performed to the tunes of Salman's popular number 'Mera Hi Jalwa'. Puneet's performance fetched him much appreciation, while Karishma Tanna showcased her luscious moves and Gautam Gulati amazed everyone with his abs-licious dance. Salman appeared pleased with the performance and commented tongue-in-cheek,"Agar pata hota ke Saturday ko bajane ke baad aisa bajenge aap log...toh..." Happy with the response, Bigg Boss inmates have now promised to deliver such dhamakedaar performances every Sunday.

One to one with inmates: While the palpable tension in the air had diminished post the performance, Salman still held his anger over Arya Babbar's stand for his friend. After complimenting everyone for their dance, Salman took digs at Arya Babbar. A slightly embarrassed Arya said, "Sir.. ab kya bolun main." Natasa sang 'Gulabi Aankhein Jo Teri Dekhi' for Salman Khan. Salman also complimented everyone for their dressing style. Later, Salman said that he wanted to give everyone a lesson on 'togetherness'.

Special panel: Bigg Boss season 8 has seen many new developments, the latest being 'special panel'. Salman Khan revealed that two contestants of the previous seasons would come on the show during 'Weekend Ka War' and talk to the inmates. Last year's Kamya Punjabi and VJ Andy were called for the special panel this year. This special panel has been assigned the task of putting forth questions from audience to the inmates. Also they will suggest and advice inmates on various issues and how they are being perceived outside.

Kitchen Politics: Minissha and Diandra are seen discussing kitchen issues. Minissha suggests that Diandra should look after kitchen and not Karishma. She also points out that Karishma is not a very skilled cook and the size of the rotis she makes is also not proper. In addition to this she also says that Karishma makes faces while tasting food made by everyone else but when everyone compliments the cook she also joins the group. VJ Andy observed that what Minissha was doing is similar to what Karishma is doing.

Deepshikha, Upen and Minissha: Kamya pointed out that Deepshikha was weak as a leader and while she looked confident while asking everyone to complete the task, the change in decision came as a shock because it was too sudden. Kamya also noted that Upen Patel, who was playful during the first week had suddenly withdrawn into a shell of his own. Kamya advised Puneet Issar to not try to make everyone happy. Kamya also advised Minissha to take a stand for things that she feel are correct.

Karishma: In a twist of sorts, Kamya thought that Karishma showed women in weak light with her statement 'aurat ko gaali di'. VJ Andy agreed that there was no way to find out who is genuinely sorry and who is not. And thus Karishma should have just accepted his apology or left the issue at that. Kamya and Andy revealed that they have been through similar things during their stay in the house but never stretched the issue like this.

Eviction: While everyone inside the house was expecting Gautam Gulati to be evicted this week because of his attitude, it came as a shock to inmates when Sukirti Kandpal was evicted. Salman Khan asked Sukirti that between Arya Babbar and Upen Patel whom was she more comfortable with. To this Sukirti replied, "Main unka naam Karan- Arjun rakha tha, I like them equally. Wo dono hamesha saath rehte hain." To this Salman replied, "Par ye Karan- Arjun saath nahi mein nahi hote hain. Ye Karan Arjun alag alag raaste chale gaye hain, apna apna kaam kar rahe hain."
