Pioneer dash cams launched with prices starting at Rs 5,399: AI night vision, ADAS alerts and more!
Pioneer India, a subsidiary of Pioneer Corporation, Japan, has launched a range of dash cameras from its Mobility AI portfolio, specifically aimed at Indian driving conditions. The VREC Dash Camera series comprises four models namely, VREC-H120SC, VREC-H320SC, VREC-H520DC, and VREC-Z820DC. These models include features such as AI Night Vision, ADAS Alerts, and Enhanced Parking Monitoring.
The models are priced at Rs 5,399 for the VREC-H120SC, Rs 11,399 for the VREC-H320SC, Rs 18,499 for the VREC-H520DC, and Rs 23,499 for the VREC-Z820DC.
The company says that each model is engineered to capture high-quality video footage both in front of and behind the vehicle. The VREC-Z820DC stands out as a premium option with its 4K video resolution, AI-based night vision, wide display, and ADAS features. It includes a rear camera and GPS logger, with continuous loop recording. The VREC-H520DC features a 7.6 cm IPS display, a Sony Starvis-2 image sensor, and 2K recording capabilities, ensuring clear video even in low light conditions and offering 360-degree rotation for comprehensive road monitoring.
For those seeking a balance between performance and affordability, the VREC-H320SC provides Full HD recording and a 7.6 cm IPS display. Meanwhile, the VREC-H120SC offers a compact, budget-friendly option with 1296p recording and supports up to 128 GB of external storage.
Besides that, Pioneer’s mobile app allows easy connection to the dash cameras via Wi-Fi. Through the app, users can view and manage recorded footage, adjust settings, and create travel logs.
Dash cams are crucial for recording evidence in case of accidents and combating insurance fraud through post-analysis of driving behaviour. Additionally, the cameras offer the ability to document memorable moments on the road.
