The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has announced the findings of its Dealer Satisfaction Study 2023. According to the study, Hyundai Motors led the passenger vehicle segment while Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India retained the top-spot in the two-wheeler segment.
In an industry where change is the only constant, some leaders have managed to maintain their positions in this year's study. Hyundai emerged as the new category leader, closely followed by Maruti-Suzuki and Mahindra & Mahindra.
Honda Cars India stands out as the most notable mover in this year's study, surging up the rankings by a remarkable 153 points, giving the carmaker the fourth position on the list. On the other hand, Royal Enfield, with an industry-level improvement of 84 points, took the second spot in the two-wheeler segment.
In the Commercial Vehicles segment, VECV maintains its stronghold at the top. However, Tata Motors and Ashok Leyland are hot on its heels, narrowing the gap significantly by improving their scores by 68 and 67 points, respectively.
Passenger Vehicle Segment: Hyundai leads the raceHaving bagged a total of 852 points, Hyundai led the segment. It was followed by Maruti Suzuki (791) while Mahindra (774) completed the podium. Honda Cars India secured the fourth position with 763 points while Kia with 756 points could only manage the fifth spot.
Dealers have expressed high satisfaction with product reliability, but challenges concerning deadstock and inventory buyback policies persist, as well as the extent of dealer involvement in policy-making decisions with OEMs.
Two-wheeler Segment: HMSI leads, RE follows closelyIn the two-wheeler segment, HMSI led with 797 points with Royal Enfield on its heels having bagged 787 points. Hero MotoCorp stood at third with 770 while TVS and Suzuki secured fourth and fifth position with 633 and 600 points, respectively.
