Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 launched in India at Rs 2.99 lakh with 323 km range: Changes explained
Bengaluru-based startup Ultraviolette Automotive today launched the F77 Mach 2 electric bike in the Indian market. The F77 Mach 2 is the updated version of the F77 which was launched towards the end of 2022 and features minor cosmetic changes, improved range, more power, additional features and new tech onboard. Bookings for the bike will start from today with the amount set at Rs 5000 and deliveries are slated to begin from next month i.e. May 2024.
The F77 Mach 2 is offered in two variants - standard and Recon priced at Rs 2.99 lakh and 3.99 lakh, respectively (both prices ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The prices are introductory and are for the first 1,000 customers only. In terms of design, the Mach 2 looks the same as the older version but gets a new aluminium flop for the charging port lid, unlike the previous plastic unit. And now, it’s offered in nine different colours - Lighting Blue, Asteroid Grey, Turbo Red, Afterburner Yellow, Stealth Grey, Cosmic Black, Plasma Red, Supersonic Silver, and Stellar White. It also gets subtle changes for the graphics.
The F77 Mach 2 is powered by a 7.1 kWh battery pack paired with a 27kW motor whereas the Recon uses a larger 10.3 kWh battery pack paired with a 30kW motor. The standard variant has a claimed range of 211km and the Recon variant gets a 323km range. The Recon variant gets ten levels of switchable regenerative braking levels and the standard variant gets only three levels.
In terms of features, the updated bikes get three ride modes, a five-inch TFT digital cluster, auto-dimming lights, hill hold, ABS, and dynamic stability control. The top-of-the-line Recon variant additionally gets four levels of traction control. The bike also flashes the lights when it’s stationary as a safety feature when the motor is on. Talking about the hardware, the Mach 2 gets 41mm USD front forks, and a preload adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by a single 320mm front and 230mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyres.
