Ather 450s in Images: Price, range, battery and more

Bengaluru-based start-up, Ather Energy recently launched the Ather 450s electric scooter to the Indian market. In this slideshow, let's take a look at its design, battery, range and specifications.

In terms of design, the Ather 450s looks identical to the 450x except for the black plastic piece on the headlight surround which is now the same colour as the rest of the scooter.

​In terms of dimensions, the Ather 450s measures 1,890 Mm in length, 739 Mm in width, 1,114 Mm in height, seat height of 780 Mm and has a wheelbase of 1,296 Mm.

​The 450s gets telescopic front suspension with 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped up in MRF Nylogrip Zapper rubber. The e-scooter weighs 108 Kg and has 170 mm of ground clearance.

​

At the rear, it gets mono-shock suspension with disc brakes at the rear too. There’s no ABS on offer.

​The biggest change in the 450s is the inclusion of a 7-inch LCD dash instead of a TFT unit. The new LCD screen doesn’t het touch functionality but it gets Bluetooth connectivity and eSIM features found on the 450X.

​​Other features include auto-brightness control, a separate button for reverse mode, turn-by-turn navigation and more.

​

The 450s gets smaller 35-litres do boot space. A half-faced helmet with a small backpack can be fit inside.

​Talking about the electric motor, it’s rated for 5.4kW and 22Nm. It has a top speed of 90 kph and it also gets different ride modes.

​

The 450s gets a smaller 2.9kWh battery pack and Ather claims an IDC range of 115km. In the real world, you can expect up to 90km in one full charge.

​In terms of charging, the 450s can be quickly charged from Ather’s public fast chargers up to 15km of range from a 10-min top-up. Home charging will take 6hr36min to charge from 0 to 80 percent.
