2025 BYD Seal, Atto 3 launched in India: Here’s what’s new
BYD Auto India has launched the updated 2025 BYD Seal and Atto 3 in the Indian market. Both EVs get enhanced comfort and upgraded features as part of the celebration of their first anniversary. So far, the company has sold 1,300 Seal and 3,100 Atto 3 units in the country. Let’s take a look at what’s new in both models.
BYD Seal
The 2025 Seal continues to be available in three variants - Dynamic, Premium and Performance and the price announcement will be made in April. Interested customers can book the Seal online or by visiting their nearest dealership by paying Rs 1.25 lakh starting from March 11, 2025. Deliveries are expected to begin slightly after the price announcement. Talking about the updates, all variants of the BYD Seal now get a powered sunshade, along with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Enhancements also extend to the air conditioning system, which now offers improved cooling and air purification. On the technical side, the mid-tier Premium variant benefits from Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) for better ride comfort. Meanwhile, the top-end Performance variant introduces the advanced DiSus-C damping system, which dynamically adapts to road conditions in real-time.
BYD Atto 3
Talking about the 2025 Atto 3, the bookings for the EV SUV are open for a token amount of Rs 30,000. For the first 3,000 units of the MY2025 Atto 3, BYD is offering the 2025 Atto 3 at the price of the 2024 model after which the new prices will be announced. The Dynamic variant, featuring a 49.92kWh battery, is available from Rs 24.99 lakh. The Premium and Superior variants, both equipped with a 60.48kWh battery pack, are priced at Rs 29.85 lakh and Rs 33.99 lakh, respectively (all prices ex-showroom).
Talking about the updates, the Atto 3 now features an all-black interior with ventilated front seats. Major update is the upgradation of the electric SUV's lead acid battery to a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. BYD says that this new battery is six times lighter than conventional low-voltage batteries and has a lifespan of 15 years.
Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, said, “The enhancements to the BYD SEAL and BYD ATTO 3 represent a significant step forward in our commitment to the Indian market. Keeping innovation and technology as the core, we have delivered upgrades that enhance every aspect of the driving experience. We're confident these improvements will solidify BYD's position as a leader in the EV revolution.”
