According to the company, the 125 scooters mentioned above manufactured between January 1, 2022, and January 4, 2024 will be recalled. This recall affects specific models of the Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid scooters.

As part of the recall, customers can receive replacement parts free of charge at their nearest Yamaha Service centers. Yamaha, in a statement, highlighted that it intends to maintain the highest quality and safety standards for its products, prioritizing customer safety above all else.

How to check eligibility for recall?

To determine eligibility for the recall and to proceed with necessary steps, customers can visit the Service section of the India Yamaha Motor website and access the 'SC 125 Voluntary Recall' page. They can enter their Chassis No. details to verify eligibility and receive further instructions.

This recall by India Yamaha marks the second-largest recall by an Indian two-wheeler manufacturer. The largest so far was Honda's significant recall in May 2021, involving over 6 lakh units. Honda's recall included popular models such as Activa 5G/6G/125, CB Shine, CB 300R, H'ness CB350, X-Blade, and Hornet.
