Triumph’s 350cc bikes get costlier by up to 5k! Models, new prices
Triumph has increased the prices of its 350cc motorcycle range in India, with select models now becoming costlier by up to Rs 5,000. The latest revision affects the Speed 400, Speed T4, Thruxton 400 and Scrambler 400 XC, while updated prices for the Scrambler 400 X and Tracker 400 are yet to be announced.
The Triumph Speed 400 has received a price hike of Rs 2,000 and is now priced at Rs 2.34 lakh, ex-showroom. The more affordable Speed T4 has become dearer by Rs 4,000, taking its new price to Rs 1.99 lakh.
The biggest hike has been applied to the Thruxton 400 and Scrambler 400 XC. Both motorcycles now cost Rs 5,000 more than before. Following the revision, the Thruxton 400 is priced at Rs 2.70 lakh, while the Scrambler 400 XC now carries a price tag of Rs 2.94 lakh.
Triumph had introduced the revised 350cc versions of these motorcycles in April this year. The downsized engine platform helped some models benefit from lower GST rates, especially the Scrambler 400 and Thruxton 400.
Mechanically, the motorcycles continue to use Triumph’s 350cc engines, while power figures differ depending on the model. The Speed T4 produces 29 hp and 31 Nm, compared to the earlier 398.15cc engine’s 31 hp and 36 Nm. The Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 XC develop 37 hp and 32 Nm, lower than the previous 40 hp and 37.5 Nm figures. Sitting at the top of the range, the Thruxton 400 delivers 40 hp and 32 Nm, identical to the recently launched Tracker 400.
