Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 spied undisguised: Dual-purpose tyres, headlight guard & more

It's no secret that Royal Enfield is working on a range of new motorcycles, which have been continually spied on test over the last few months. One such upcoming RE bike is a new scrambler based on the company's 650 cc twin platform. The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 has now been spied fully undisguised, revealing some vital information about its design, hardware and equipment.

The spied motorcycle gets a USD fork suspension at the front along with twin shock absorbers at the back. The engine will be the same 648 cc, parallel-twin unit that is offered with the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 making 47.6 PS of power and 52 Nm torque, in all likelihood. Moreover, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 were recently updated and now get optional alloy wheels with tubeless tyres as well as new colour options.




That said, the Scrambler gets a single seat, a round headlamp, a bobbed mudguard as well as round turn indicators. Other highlights on the new prototype include a headlight guard, auxiliary lamps as well as a flyscreen - all of which likely only be included as accessories. There's also a metal bash plate under the engine, and a blacked out exhaust.

Details about the upcoming Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 are bleak since the company hasn't officially confirmed a launch or even revealed any information whatsoever.
