Delhi Police arrests ‘Spider Man’ and ‘Spider Woman’, hands list of traffic challans
Delhi Police has arrested two individuals who were dressed like Spider-Man and Spider-Woman while performing risky motorcycle stunts in the city. These individuals gained attention after videos of their disregard to road safety went viral on social media. The man and the woman were identified and traced down by the police personnel and were handed challans for their violations.
The Delhi police apprehended the individuals and charged them under the Motor Vehicle Act for multiple violations, including dangerous driving and riding without helmets, performing stunts and not having a number plate on the motorcycle.
The young rider, as per ANI, has been charged under various sections, including 5/180, 194D, 3/181, 177, 125(2) CMVR/177, 184 MV Act, 50, 51 CMVR/39/192 MV Act, and 209 MV Act, reflecting the severity of the offenses committed during the reckless motorcycle stunt.
In the video, the woman, dressed as Spider Woman arrives from a metro station to meet the Spider Man waiting on his Pulsar. After this, the duo goes on a ride and performs risky maneuvers such as leaving the handlebar while riding on a highway. The video has gone viral on social media and has got over 1 million views. Also, the video creator has a dedicated page on Instagram where he has posted several videos dressed as Spider Man.
Recently, there has been a significant increase in incidents where individuals engage in risky stunts, recording them for social media exposure, often endangering their lives and the safety of other road users. However, the Delhi Police has taken a firm stance against such behavior, promptly responding to these cases and taking necessary actions against the individuals involved.
