Patna HC seeks state reply on Khan Sir’s plea to quash FIR
Patna: The Patna high court on Wednesday sought a reply from the state govt on a plea filed for quashing of FIR against Faisal Khan popularly known as Khan Sir.

On June 4, an FIR was lodged against Khan Sir at Kadamkuan police station (Case no. 418/2026) in connection with an incident of alleged firing and violence near his coaching institute in a crowded locality of the state capital.

The vacation bench of Justice Chandra Shekhar Jha, while hearing a criminal writ application of Khan Sir, directed the state authorities to file their reply on an affidavit within next four weeks. This matter has been scheduled for further hearing on July 13.

Khan’s counsel Abhishek Kumar argued that an FIR against his client has been lodged on “frivolous and baseless allegations” and hence an abuse of process of law which cannot be permitted to continue in the interest of justice. The writ petition was vehemently opposed by state counsel Prabhu Narayan Sharma.
