'Agent Raghav' & 'Deal Ya No Deal': Fun-Filled Weekend viewing

Indian television’s two most sorted actors, Ronit Roy and Sharad Kelkar came together for the launch of their forthcoming shows ‘Deal Ya No Deal’ and ‘Agent Raghav’ respectively, on &TV. Ronit was looking dapper in formals where as Sharad had opted for a casual look with leather jacket and T-shirt.

After doing numerous fiction shows, Ronit is excited to host ‘Asli Family Game Show’, ‘Deal Ya No Deal’. Based on the format of same named International show, the difference with Indian version is, the contestants will be playing with their family and friends instead of 25 models.

In ‘Agent Raghav’, Sharad will be seen portraying the title role of crime branch agent with style. As the actor, Agent Raghav’s biggest weapon is his sharp mind. He loves to play with his mind. This crime mystery thriller is produced by Contiloe Films.

Talking on the occasion, Ronit said, “It’s a brilliant idea to have entire family on the game show because Indian culture is all about family and friends.” He also agreed that he had a fun time shooting for the episodes with the contestants.

‘Agent Raghav’ has a team which helps him achieve his goal of solving the crime. It includes, ‘Agent Trisha’ played by Aahana Kumar, ‘Agent Bikram’ played by Jason Tham, ‘Agent Gauri’ played by Deepali Pansare and ‘Agent Rajbir’ played by Danish Pandor.

Daughter of retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Baliyan Kumra, playing CBI agent came easily to Trisha. Trisha is excited to play boss to handsome Sharad. But on personal level, Aahana loves ‘Agent Bikram’ played by youngest member of the cast, Jason Tham.

Ex-gladrags model, Danish Pandor looks more like fashion model (that he is) than CBI Agent ‘Rajbir’. After debuting with Balaji’s ‘Kitni Mohabbatein’ Danish took 5 years gap before coming back on small screen with a role with more potential in ‘Agent Raghav’.

Delicate and petite Deepali Pansare who plays ‘Agent Gauri’, tech expert believes that, one doesn’t need masculine physical presence to portray strong character. Gauri maintains that getting the opportunity to play such a role has been like a dream come true.

Dancer turned choreographer turned actor Jason Tham is the youngest of the cast and plays ‘Agent Bikram’. For Jason, being a dancer helped him doing all the flips, jumps during an action scene. Jason hopes that, ‘Agent Raghav’ will give him a chance to prove himself as an actor.

When questioned if ‘Deal Ya No Deal’ promotes gambling, handsome host of the show, Ronit replied, “Initially, I too was little skeptical! But unlike gambling, the contestants are not putting their own belongings in the show. There is no fear of losing anything.” He further added, “The show is all about luck, chance, probability and we face it at every step in our life.”

A die-hard fan of Alfred Hitchok, Abhimanyu Singh of Contiloe films while talking about his choice of ‘Agent Raghav’ commented, “Sharad is a thinking actor. He got certain personality, the voice. The way he conducts himself made him an apt choice for ‘Agent Raghav’.”

During the Q&A session, Sharad and Ronit both were complimented for their resemblance to none other than ‘Big B’. Ronit was praised for his great hosting skills just like Sr.Bachchan while Sharad’s baritone voice was compared with Big B’s. Both actors were pleased with the compliments.

Sharad Kelkar and Ronit Roy who are both known for their flawless acting hope that the shows will make weekend viewing more fun-filled for the viewers. Both the shows are going on air from 5th September on &TV, every Saturday and Sunday. ‘Deal Ya No Deal’ will be aired at 8 pm while ‘Agent Raghav’ will be telecasted at 9 pm.
