5 reasons why Rohit Shetty can beat Rannvijay for 'Roadies'

After bagging the most lucrative reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' on television, hit-machine Rohit Shetty has upped his USP for sure! While he is already the host of India's most fear-inducing show, we can't help but compare 'Khatron ke Khiladi' with the very popular 'Roadies'. After taking over the reigns of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and stepping into the shoes of his predecessors like Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra (who had earlier hosted 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'), we list down five major reasons why we think Rohit Shetty can also replace Rannvijay Singh for 'MTV Roadies'. Read on to know why Rohit can be the perfect host for 'Roadies' as well.

Physique- Rohit Shetty doesn't just talk about doing various stunts fearlessly, the 'Chennai Express' director also has a good physique to back his big mouth. Probably the most successful filmmakers of our time, Rohit boasts of a rough and tough physique as well. He looks the part of a fearless host and thus is convincing enough for the out-of-the-world stunts that he performs. Rannvijay is trusted by the 'Roadies' contestants as he has been through the same journey before. While Rannvijay has proved his worth in this regard, Rohit too doesn't disappoint with his addiction for high-octane action in his films and his buffed-up body in reality.

Love for bikes, cars- We all are aware about Rohit's penchant for big mean machines. The filmmaker is specially known for his action sequences and for blowing up cars and bikes in his films. Bike chases, car races along with the same getting blown up have become a regular fare in the Rohit Shetty style of cinema. Hence, it comes as no surprise if Rohit's name crops up as a replacement for Rannvijay if the makers ever need it for their show 'Roadies'. Rohit's love for cars and bikes makes him an easy contender for Rannvijay's job.

Fear factor- Both 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' and 'Roadies' work on the fear element. Contestants in both these shows have to perform unthinkable tasks and battle their innermost fears. Be it jumping from a 100 feet tall building or having snakes crawl all over your body, both these shows in a way test the contestants on a similar meter. After stepping in as a host for celebrity contestants, we bet Rohit can do a good job with the non-celebrity ones in 'Roadies' as well. Also, after hosting 'Khatron Ke Khiladi', doing the same with 'Roadies' won't be so difficult.

Whose the boss- Rohit Shetty is the boss of 'Khatron Ke Khiladi'. He basically is the authority on the show. On the other hand, Rannvijay has Raghu and Rajeev over him as the 'judges' of the show. If Rohit starts working for 'Roadies', then the audiences might be able to see some friction not just between the contestants but also between Rohit and the two famous twins as well. Since Rohit is a one-man army, Raghu and Rajeev have been the lifeline of 'Roadies' so far. Apart from politics between the contestants, it would be a treat to watch Rohit Shetty in an argument with Raghu and Rajeev!

Faded glory- While we agree that 'Roadies' is a hit show and has been so for many seasons now. Many 'Roadies' contestants have even gone ahead and made a mark in Bollywood and TV like Ayushmann Khurrana for example. While we love the show as it is, even its ardent fans would agree that after so many seasons 'Roadies' needs a make-over. A makeover or a breadth of fresh air would do good to the anyway high TRPs of 'Roadies'. Rohit Shetty is known for his Rs 200 crore blockbusters. If Rohit is roped in for the show, he can give his formulaic inputs for the show and maybe even take it to newer heights.
