NDA, BJP, UDF lead as counting progresses across four states
Votes are being counted across four state assemblies, with the leading alliances in each having crossed the majority mark on tally figures, though declared wins remain limited at this stage. In Assam, where 64 seats are needed for a majority in the 126-seat house, NDA has won 28 seats and is leading in 69 more, putting its tally at 97. Congress and its allies are leading in 22 seats with no wins declared yet. Candidates from other parties and independents cumulatively hold a tally of 7 in Assam. In West Bengal, the majority mark stands at 148 in a 294-seat assembly. BJP has won 11 seats and is leading in 168, giving it a tally of 179. TMC has won 2 and is leading in 104, with a tally of 106. Candidates from other parties and independents cumulatively hold a tally of 8 in West Bengal. In Puducherry, NDA has won 13 seats and is leading in 5 more for a tally of 18 in the 30-seat house, where 16 seats are needed for a majority. SPA has a tally of 5, with 2 won and 3 leads. In Kerala, UDF leads the 140-seat count with 68 seats won and 19 leads, bringing its tally to 87 against a majority mark of 71. LDF has won 30 and is leading in 6, with a tally of 36. Candidates from other parties and independents cumulatively hold a tally of 17 in Kerala.
